This project involved redesigning the website and visual identity for the non-profit organization "Lastenradl München e.V." which is dedicated to offering accessible, free cargo bike rentals. The goal was to create an inviting platform that makes cargo bike rental fun and easy.
Since this was a redesign, I first analyzed how users navigate through the website by observing their behavior. The initial impression revealed that the site was cluttered with too many colors and lengthy explanatory texts, and the booking system was difficult to find. As the NGO's main focus is renting cargo bikes, a clear navigation system was essential.
The first step was to place a call to action in the hero section of the homepage, directing users straight to the booking system. The second step involved redefining the brand colors, selecting primary and secondary fonts, and determining the illustration and image style.
Afterward, I created a prototype in Adobe XD in collaboration with the NGO's team. Together, we identified the necessary pages and navigation paths, discussed visual preferences, and planned how to implement the design in WordPress.
Please note that the live version of this website may have been updated or altered by the client after the completion of my work.
