At amp soundbranding I was assigned the project of redesigning their B2B music library Sonic Space, along with the development of an intuitive and creative search function called Super Search. The primary objective was to improve the usability making it easier for clients to find music and sonic assets that perfectly align with their project needs. Secondly, the overall design needed to be modern and maintain a consistent look and feel.
When amp's clients access the music library, they see curated playlists and the latest sonic assets for a quick overview. The top-right menu provides access to the Super Search, playlists, and user guidelines. The sleek black interface is accented with the client’s brand colors for a personalized touch. We also adjusted the Sonic Space name according to each client’s preference – for instance, Mercedes chose the name Music Bank.
The Super Search startpage features a dynamic array of interactive 'bubbles', each showcasing a unique sonic keyword. Users can select the keywords that align with their project's search needs, creating a personalized and intuitive exploration experience.
The search also allows filtering by tonality, mood, or genre, giving users a more focused and tailored experience. Each filter tab is color-coded, making navigation and selection clear, more intuitive and visually engaging.
Users can also utilize the search bar if they already have a specific idea in mind. It enables them to search for Spotify tracks as reference songs, existing sonic assets, or hashtags that describe the desired tracks. For a cleaner interface, the search bar collapses when not in use.
After searching for keywords, users receive a list of song suggestions. The list also shows other keywords the song contains. Users can further refine their search by applying filters, such as setting BPM or other criteria.
The song page offers various tools and information. Users can download the song in different formats, add it to playlists, trim the audio file, view its usage in projects, and check the associated keywords.
The playlist interface provides all essential tools at a glance. Users can review related playlists, share, add, or remove playlists, view other members, and collaborate through a built-in chat for internal feedback and future reference.
Unfortunately the B2B music library isn’t publicly accessible, but you can visit amp's product website featuring Sonic Space.
Please also note that the live version of the music library may have been updated or altered by the client after the completion of my work.
