Discrimination takes on many forms in our society. One of its most surprising—and unfortunate—manifestations occurs when individuals within the same marginalized group tear each other down. This animation delves into the theme of rivalry among women, drawing on the personal experiences of three individuals.
For this animation I interviewed three women on their experiences with rivalry among women. I then transcribed the interviews and cropped them to a voice over text.
For the visuals I decided on simple forms that were easy to animate and rig. I chose soft colors that are often connected to female characters. Goal of this was to contrast the nasty behaviour in these stories.
